First off, men feel that the younger generation of women are lacking the class that the older ones possess. Most young women nowadays seem to really be into the material and physical attributes that a man has. And, typically they have no problem in showing it!!! And, considering what I have seen first hand....I completely agree with some of the viewpoints of the men. Young women feel that they have to dress slutty to get the attention of a man or come off so aggressive to where they tend to make themselves look more slutty than attractive. I feel that young women nowadays do not realize that they do not have to demean themselves in order to be sexy. The one thing that is the sexiest of all is something that God gave all of us.... which is a brain! The more mentally stimmulating and less slutty you appear the more attractive you can be to a man.
Secondly, young men feel that women who are older, pretty much have their life in order and are mature, experienced and don't have time for the childish games that are played by young women. To them that's sexy in its own right... to be older, have a career, not play games, and still dress sexy without looking scandalous......AND, lets not forget ....Still looks GOOD for their age!!!
It seems that many couples in Hollywood are taking on this NEW trend... Mariah and Nick, Demi and Ashton, and Kourtney and Scott.....So are the reasons mentioned, why the new group of Cougars/Panthers are growing day by day??? Or, are we following Hollywood's new trend?? Or, is it simply true love ??
I'm getting the feeling that we will soon see this trend grow more and more as time goes by....

I believe young, black males are gravitating towards older women, because of the security provided by the woman. I also feel black males are coddled by the women in their lives. the majority of black men have a detachment to their father figure/ male role model because of failed relationships with their mothers. This often leads to the mother creating an environment of overcompensation because of the mother's romantic relationship failure. therefore the child is never really afforded an opportunity to grow and mature fully. The child then becomes codependant and has a need to find a mate that is more mother like than partner like.
Although many of these relationships start off in an earnest manner, they are doomed from the start. Eventually the physical attraction will wane and the realization that there are large gaps in the maturity level of the individuals will sink in. this will create an environment of decension and self consciousness that will manifest in an ugly break up. Just my two cents
