If your not truely interested, then why continue to deal with a Person???

Today I awoke with so much on my mind...I got on the phone with my "Bestie" and we started sharing stories of  staying in an unhealthy or unhappy relationship.  They complain about the person, fight with the person, know in their mind that they have NO intention on marrying or even trying to have a family with the person, basically in their heart of hearts....they are not interested.

So what makes a person continue to stay around?   Is it that, they are using them? Do they feel that they will not be able to find another with the qualities that the person whom they're with has? Is it that they're at the point to where they are just tired of the dating process? Whatever the reason, I feel that a lot of unhappiness would be prevented if people recognized in the beginning that the person whom they are with is not what the want.  And, that they should let go and move on so that they can experience true happiness otherwise you waste the life that has been given to you on another human being.

In the end, why go through the nonsense when you REALLY don't have to?

In this day in age, Is Beauty really skin deep when it comes to dating?

Based on the recent conversations that i've had with others and just sitting back an observing has true beauty become over-rated??  Are people nowadays so shallow that the only important thing to them is how long someone's hair is, the shade of their skin, how tall they are, I can go on and on but rather not waste my time on it.

It's very disappointing that relationships are no longer filled with substance, which in the end causes them to fail because of the shallow observations that were made in the beginning. Although initial attraction is important....Getting to know a person or maybe I should say actually wanting to learn a person inside and out shoud be priority NUMBER ONE, rather than how they will look standing next you.

My Thoughts Today!

Today I woke up with a different perspective on life and how I deal with different situations that may arise.  I believe this is stemming from the confirmation that I received in Bible Study last night. I now know that God is where I want to be.  And, although i knew this, I always let my personal wants with the world get in the way of what God really has for me. 

I can truly say that I am at peace with my life and my wants and needs are not important.  God is what is important and I feel that everything else will eventually fall into place for me. Today I reflected back on these past few months and really stood back and analyzed and realized who and what I have been dealing with. And, many things have not been good for me.  But, now I will approach everything with positivity and weed out everything that is not right for me.  The past couple nights, I laid down and listen to the song that always has hit me emotionally ever since I was 8 years old, which is Quincy Jones Setembro (Brazilian Wedding Song by Take 6).  This is the song that I used to listen to as a little girl and imagine so many things such as walking down the aisle to the man whom I would adore.  I still hold on to that dream of pure happiness...And I feel that one day God will place the man in my life who understands me and respects my children.



One verse that I will begin to say every night is from John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

 Its my comfort and where I want to be.

How Long Do YOU Deal with Someone before you feel like you're WASTING your Time?

As I sit here, I think to myself.. How long does a person deal with someone before they feel like they are wasting their time.  A month, 3 months, 6 months???  What has to be transpiring to make a woman/man feel that it 's no longer going anywhere?

With talking with people I've come up with these TOP reasons:

• Not mentally Connecting with a person.
• A person who has a big EGO.
• When someone doesn't attempt to really get to know someone.
• When you and the person do not 'hang out' and make memories with each other by living out new experiences. (Sharing Interest) 
• They appear to be interested in everything or everyone else but the person they are dealing with.
• You find out that the other person is very immature and is not ready for your ideals of a future. 

I've found that TIME will always tell.. Sometimes you find out things about a person in one week, others may take up to 6 months or longer but always take your time an get to know a person and share your desires and be honest. 

Honesty is the one thing that prevents everyone from wasting their time because both people understand what they are getting into. Being lead on does nothing but cause drama, animosity and anger... So if there's one thing that you get from this ... it's to always KEEP it 100 or REAL!

And...Remember your efforts go as far as your interest!  ;-)

Younger Men Dating Older Women (For Mature Audiences ONLY)

It's starting to become more apparent to me that Younger men are dating Older women!!  Why the sudden change??? I've asked around and the answers are somewhat surprising.

First off, men feel that the younger generation of women are lacking the class that the older ones possess. Most young women nowadays seem to really be into the material and physical attributes that a man has.  And, typically they have no problem in showing it!!! And, considering what I have seen first hand....I completely agree with some of the viewpoints of the men.  Young women feel that they have to dress slutty to get the attention of a man or come off so aggressive to where they tend to make themselves look more slutty than attractive.  I feel that young women nowadays do not realize that they do not have to demean themselves in order to be sexy.  The one thing that is the sexiest of all is something that God gave all of us.... which is a brain! The more mentally stimmulating and less slutty you appear the more attractive you can be to a man. 

Secondly, young men feel that women who are older, pretty much have their life in order and are mature, experienced and don't have time for the childish games that are played by young women. To them that's sexy in its own right... to be older, have a career, not play games, and still dress sexy without looking scandalous......AND, lets not forget ....Still looks GOOD for their age!!!

It seems that many couples in Hollywood are taking on this NEW trend... Mariah and Nick, Demi and Ashton, and Kourtney and Scott.....So are the reasons mentioned, why the new group of Cougars/Panthers are growing day by day???   Or, are we following Hollywood's new trend??  Or, is it simply true love ??

I'm getting the feeling that we will soon see this trend grow more and more as time goes by....
